Kalyn Smith-Tranquil'son Memorial Fund
The
Kalyn Smith-Tranquil'son Memorial Fund
is an emergency funding source for UCR students in good standing who have been temporarily or permanently cut-off financially from their families because of their sexual orientation, gender, perceived gender, or work with or for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. Students of all sexual orientations and gender identities may apply for assistance.
If you believe you qualify for an emergency grant from this fund, please contact Nancy Tubbs, Director of the LGBT Resource Center, at 951.827.2267, nancy.tubbs@ucr.edu
Students who are permanently cut off financially from their families may also go through an appeals process with Financial Aid to be declared financially independent for the purposes of UCR financial aid.
